Focus group and results

Below is the video of our focus group that we conducted.

By conducting this focus group, we learnt several things. Audiences seem to prefer narrative based music videos. This is because when we asked them, "what is it that interests you about music videos?" they all replied "the story". They mentioned that it was also important that make sure the story fits in with the song, so it doesn't look out of place. Also, when we asked them if they prefer performance or narrative videos, theyr replied, "narrative". The audience we also quite keen on incorporating a bit of performing within the video. Taking these ideas on board, we could have a narrative music video, with perhaps the main character, singing parts of the song.

They told us that they also think the start of a music video is the most important. When we create our music video, we should have to try and make the begginning of our music video, as impressive and as memorable as possible. They also commented saying that they didn't think effects should be over used. They were really enthusiastic about effects within music videos, but only if they are used the right amount.
